About this math word search
- The equals sign was introduced by Welsh mathematician Robert Recorde in 1557 because, he wrote, no two things could be more equal than a pair of parallel lines.
- Zero is the only number that is neither positive nor negative.
- Every prime number greater than 2 is odd, because every even number above 2 can be divided by 2.
- Teaching tip: after solving, have students write a word problem that uses at least three of the vocabulary words.
