How to play back to school bingo
- Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
- The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
- Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.
Call a word, have students find it and read it aloud before they mark it. For extra practice, give a definition or use the word in a sentence instead of saying it.
Good to know
- Have students copy each found word neatly on the back of the page for a low-stakes handwriting and spelling sample to keep on file.
