Graduation Bingo Cards

How to play graduation bingo

1. Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
2. The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
3. Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
4. The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.

Hand each guest a card and a pen as they arrive. Call words while people mingle, or mark them as gifts are opened, and keep a few small prizes for the first lines.

Good to know

• The flat graduation cap is called a mortarboard because it resembles the board masons use to hold mortar.
• Traditionally, graduates wear the tassel on one side of the cap and move it to the other side once their degree or diploma is conferred.
• The processional march "Pomp and Circumstance" by Edward Elgar is played at many North American graduation ceremonies.
