How to play winter bingo
- Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
- The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
- Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.
Print 2 cards to a page to save paper, cut them apart, and use candy, cereal or buttons as markers. The caller’s list on the last page makes calling easy.
Good to know
- In the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice on December 21 or 22 is the shortest day of the year. Days slowly get longer after it.
- Snow crystals form with six-sided symmetry because of the way water molecules link together as they freeze.
- Animals handle winter in different ways: bears and groundhogs hibernate, many birds migrate south, and snowshoe hares grow a white coat for camouflage.
- Snow-day tip: print a few levels at once so siblings of different ages can each work on their own copy at the kitchen table.

Frequently asked questions
›Are these winter bingo cards free?
Yes. Download the PDF or print from your browser, with no sign-up. Pick 10 to 50 different cards and the caller’s list prints at the end.
›Are all the cards different?
Yes. Each card holds 24 of the 50 winter words in its own layout, with a free space in the middle, so players don’t all win at the same time.
›Can I change the words?
Yes. Press "Customize these cards" to open them in the bingo card generator. Add your own words, change the card size, switch off the free space or add clues for the caller.
