Farm Bingo Cards

How to play farm bingo

1. Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
2. The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
3. Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
4. The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.

Before you call a word, give a clue or a fact about it and let players guess. It turns a game of luck into a quick review.

Good to know

• A baby horse is a foal, a baby cow is a calf, a baby sheep is a lamb and a baby goat is a kid.
• Sheep are usually sheared once a year, and a single fleece can provide enough wool for several sweaters.
• A hen generally lays about one egg a day at most, since it takes roughly 24 to 26 hours to form each egg.
• Classroom tip: match each farm animal word with the food or material it gives us.
