How to play Hanukkah bingo
- Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
- The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
- Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.
Print 2 cards to a page to save paper, cut them apart, and use candy, cereal or buttons as markers. The caller’s list on the last page makes calling easy.
Good to know
- A Hanukkah menorah, also called a hanukkiah, holds nine candles: one for each of the eight nights plus the shamash, the helper candle used to light the others.
- The four Hebrew letters on a dreidel, nun, gimel, hei and shin, stand for a phrase meaning "a great miracle happened there."
- Hanukkah begins on the 25th of Kislev in the Hebrew calendar, so its date on the regular calendar moves from year to year, usually landing in late November or December.
- Foods fried in oil, such as latkes and jelly-filled sufganiyot, recall the story of the temple oil that lasted eight days.

Frequently asked questions
›Are these Hanukkah bingo cards free?
Yes. Download the PDF or print from your browser, with no sign-up. Pick 10 to 50 different cards and the caller’s list prints at the end.
›Are all the cards different?
Yes. Each card holds 24 of the 50 Hanukkah words in its own layout, with a free space in the middle, so players don’t all win at the same time.
›Can I change the words?
Yes. Press "Customize these cards" to open them in the bingo card generator. Add your own words, change the card size, switch off the free space or add clues for the caller.
