How to play soccer bingo
- Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
- The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
- Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.
Play along during the game: mark a square when the commentators say it or it happens on the field. First to a line picks the next snack.
Good to know
- Each soccer team has 11 players on the field, including one goalkeeper.
- The first men's World Cup was held in Uruguay in 1930, and the tournament now takes place every four years.
- Outside the United States and Canada, most of the world calls the sport football.
