How to play basketball bingo
- Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
- The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
- Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.
Play along during the game: mark a square when the commentators say it or it happens on the field. First to a line picks the next snack.
Good to know
- James Naismith invented basketball in 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts, using peach baskets as the first hoops.
- A regulation basketball hoop is 10 feet above the floor, the same height Naismith used in the very first game.
- Early games used a soccer ball, and players had to climb up and retrieve the ball after every basket.

Frequently asked questions
›Are these basketball bingo cards free?
Yes. Download the PDF or print from your browser, with no sign-up. Pick 10 to 50 different cards and the caller’s list prints at the end.
›Are all the cards different?
Yes. Each card holds 24 of the 52 basketball words in its own layout, with a free space in the middle, so players don’t all win at the same time.
›Can I change the words?
Yes. Press "Customize these cards" to open them in the bingo card generator. Add your own words, change the card size, switch off the free space or add clues for the caller.
