How to play sports bingo
- Give each player a card and something to mark squares with.
- The caller reads words from the caller's list in any order, ticking each one off.
- Players mark a word when it's called. The middle square is free.
- The first to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and the caller checks the card.
Play along during the game: mark a square when the commentators say it or it happens on the field. First to a line picks the next snack.
Good to know
- Basketball and volleyball were both invented in Massachusetts in the 1890s, just a few years and a few miles apart.
- A regulation tennis court is 78 feet long, while a full basketball court in high school is 84 feet long.
